Beautiful weather, colorful leaves, pumpkin spice everything…what’s not to love about fall? When the team at Piskai Orthodontics isn’t busy perfecting smiles, you can find us enjoying everything autumn has to offer. Luckily, there are lots of seasonal things to do in the area and we’re sharing. Here are eight of our favorite South Jersey fall activities for families.

1. Apple Festival – Medford, NJ

Don’t miss the 44th annual Medford Apple Festival on Saturday, October 14 from 9am to 4pm at Kirby’s Mill. There will be apple cider, apple butter, apple cider donuts, and even specially made apple ice cream. In addition to all things apple, you’ll find baked goods, live music, craft vendors, and kids’ activities.

2. Haddonfield Music Festival – Haddonfield, NJ

The Borough of Haddonfield and Camden County will present the first Haddonfield Music Festival on Saturday, October 14 from 1 to 6pm on Kings Highway. Enjoy free live music, fall weather, and food and beverages from local downtown businesses.

3. Harvest Festival – Cherry Hill, NJ

While there are always plenty of things to do in Cherry Hill, NJ, the Harvest Festival is the township’s largest community event. On Sunday, October 15 from 12 to 4pm, the historic Croft Farm will host artists, crafters, pony rides, a petting zoo, a pumpkin patch, live music, a fire truck display, and more. The free, all-ages event will be held rain or shine.

4. Harvest Festivals at Johnson’s Corner Farm – Medford, NJ

This Medford farm has Harvest Festivals every weekend through October with live music, a corn maze, sunflower and pumpkin picking, hayrides, a food tent, and more. It’s recommended you reserve tickets for the weekend festivals (you can do that here). If you’d rather avoid the crowds, visit on a weekday and get 25% off the cost of admission.

5. Pumpkin Picking Hayrides at Springdale Farm – Cherry Hill, NJ

On weekends through October 29, head to this Cherry Hill pumpkin patch between 10am and 4pm for fall festivities. Book tickets here for a pumpkin picking hayride. Prefer something a little scarier? Brave the spooky walkthrough in the conservatory.

6. Hayrides and Fall Activities at Indian Acres Tree Farm – Medford, NJ

It’s no surprise that Indian Acres is one of the most popular destinations for hayrides in South Jersey. Hop on the wagon for a 20-minute ride through the 151-acre preserved farm. The wagon stops at the halfway point so you can pick pumpkins and take pictures with the giant inflatable pumpkin. Through October 31 on weekends, the farm also features sorghum mazes, barrel train rides, a free playground area, live music, food, and, of course, apple cider donuts.

7. Fall Family Fun or Night of Terror at Creamy Acres – Mullica Hill, NJ

Creamy Acres might be a bit of a drive, but the Mullica Hill farm is hard to beat. For those with little kids, the Fall Family Fun events are perfect. On Saturdays from 10am to 4pm, there are wagon rides to the pumpkin patch, a kiddie corn maze, a farm park with games and play equipment, a petting zoo, and food trucks.

Have older kids? Well, the farm is also home to the scariest haunted hayride in South Jersey, as well as a huge corn maze and other haunted attractions as part of its Night of Terror. It’s so frightening, it was featured on HGTV’s Scariest Haunted Houses. Purchase tickets here

8. Voorhees Township Halloween & Fall Festival – Voorhees, NJ

Rounding out our list of South Jersey fall activities is the Voorhees Township Halloween & Fall Festival on Saturday, October 28 from 1 to 4pm. The free, family-friendly event will be held at the Voorhees Town Center. There will be a DJ, pumpkin patch, pumpkin decorating station, teal pumpkin table, craft and food vendors, and bounce houses.
